How to read outbreak totals
Confirmed case and death totals include only records marked Confirmed. Suspected and unverified information is kept separate and does not increase confirmed totals. Public-health agencies may revise figures as investigations progress, so an outbreak record can change when newer authoritative evidence becomes available.
Where current plague information comes from
The tracker monitors configured authoritative public-health sources and publishes source links with outbreak records where available. Detection is not confirmation: relevant reports are staged and checked before they can affect public statistics.
